New Website -- Same Trellis....read on

To  all our customers:  we are happy to finally introduce our new website and e-commerce services.

A few changes:

-You no longer have to log in to place an order.  Many people these days do not like to have personal and billing information stored by a web site, so whatever e-mail address you place an order number is your session-by-session user ID (you can use a different e-mail address every time if you prefer and it will not affect your discounts or coupons).

-If you are a wholesale customer or a preferred customer with a sales representative who has issued you a discount or coupon in the past, please contact them to be given a new discount code.

-First time buyers can participate in the introduction of new volume discounts for everyone -- everytime they order.  Just order $150 or more and use discount code ECO15 and get a 15% discount, or buy $500/order and use discount code ECO25 for a 25% discount (and still always get free shipping in the lower 48).

For most buyers, unless they order a higher volume than $500/order, these new discounts are better than any we've offered in the past -- so you do not need to call for a discount to shop at TrellisEarth.com any longer.

However if you have worked with a sales rep in the past, or you would like to talk about a special opportunity to use our products in a commercial setting, please call (503) 582-1300, for assistance.

We hope you like our changes and find that our new site provides better prices, better security and reliability, and a smoother, easier shopping experience.

We appreciate your business and your commitment to positive, progressive change to improve our ecology.

-Bill Collins, CEO

McDonald's Bags Into Production

Trellis Earth's factory recently won approval to begin production of custom printed carry-out bags for McDonald's of Japan.

"We were fast-tracked through the McDonald's factory approval process because we have an excellent manufacturing environment that is clean, staffed by well treated workers, and very modern," said Bill Collins, Trellis Earth CEO and Chairman.  "It speaks well of our factory and it we consider a great step for McDonald's," he said, adding "if all plastic bags in America were converted to our formula our national oil consumption would go down over 1%."

Taco del Mar Saves Tons of Petroleum

Trellis Earth Products, Inc. recently passed its two-year milestone making the food containers for the majority of the Taco Del Mar stores, an initiative that has helped Taco Del Mar set the pace as a "greener, leaner" leader lowering the footprint of its waste stream.

Because Trellis Earth(R) products replace a majority of the oil used in the plastic with natural biomass sources, Taco Del Mar has lowered the oil content of its waste stream by nearly 25 tons a month, for a total of over 600 tons since 2008.  Since it takes about 1.5 lbs of oil to make about 1lb of resin (plastic production is an energy intensive process), this means that over 1,000 tons of oil have been conserved by the ~110 restaurants, a tremendous accomplishment in just two years.

Clayton Oswald, Vice President of Sales at Trellis Earth Products, Inc., recently said, "It's encouraging when small players in the food industry are innovators and we hope our efforts have helped them improve their relationships with their customers who care about green packaging."

He added, "If anyone doubts that small changes can add up, it's important to recognize the accomplishments of those who've taken extra effort to help their companies evolve their sustainability practices.  Taco Del Mar continues to be an excellent example of how progressive thinking in a small company can set an example for bigger companies to follow."

Oakley Buys Clothing Bags from Trellis

Trellis Earth recently completed production of a new bag design for Oakley that will hold t-shirts during silk screening production and  final shipment to customers.   These machine-loaded bags required integration into the existing Oakley production system, proving that Trellis Earth® bags are able to perform in demanding, automated environments.

"Oakley has taken the first of many steps to lower the usage of petroleum in its packaging, and we applaud their efforts," said Bob Crosby, Vice President of Sales for Trellis Earth Products, Inc.  "They have become an early adopter and we are enthusiastic about working with them and helping them evolve their use of bioresins throughout their global operations."
